Insects?

They must all be in the Lake Wentachee area. Went camping and got eaten
alive by mosquitos at the campground, and biting flies on a hike.

I've noticed fewer violet-green swallows in my neighborhood near Lake
Stevens.

This is our fifth summer in Arlington Virginia and the first time that I
have not been bit by mosquitos. None. Usually I would get 4 bites just going
out to get the newspaper in the morning. Nothing. Some attributed it to the
drought, but the drought was over when we were deluged with rain a month
ago.

It is tempting to enjoy the lack of insects until you realize that something
might be wrong. (The ants of course are doing just fine).
