A SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER, 4 WESTERN SANDPIPERS,15 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, 1
GREATER YELLOWLEGS and 1 LESSER YELLOWLEGS were at Turnbull NWR July 19.
At Peone Wetland July 19th were 4 Greater Yellowlegs, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, 2
Solitary Sandpipers, 2 Long Billed Dowitchers, 1 Western Sandpiper, and 1
Least Sandpiper.
A SOLITARY SANDPIPER was in a small mud hole near the airport on Geiger Blvd
July 20.
A WHITE PELICAN was at Granite Lake July 15 for only the second report of
the year. It was not seen the next day.
A female Blue / Dusky Grouse with chicks were seen on Mt Spokane July 18
appropriately in Grouse Meadow.
Young BLACK TERNS are now flying. They have white breasts.
