Last week's discussion about bugs prompted me to try compact fluorescent bug lights near my entry doors. It's been just over a week and no bugs have been attracted to the lights. An unexpected added benefit is that I no longer end up with several bugs in my house every time I open the screen door at night.

The one down side of these compact fluorescents is they contain mercury. Does anyone know if non-mercury containing lights are available?
