We had a good trip to Leavenworth, with one gigantic caveat:

I couldn't find my field guide. GAH! We figured we could buy one in
Leavenworth, so didn't worry about it too much, but it was not to be: all I
could find was the Audobon guide, which I dislike due to its absurd
"organization", and I use the term loosely.

This meant that I had to make copious notes when I saw something I didn't
know right off the bat, which isn't such a bad thing, I suppose.

Highlights for me included singing western bluebirds at the fish hatchery,
two good long sightings of veeries (veerys?) on Blackberry Island in town,
and an old friend, a catbird, also at Blackberry Island. We saw nothing
unusual, unless crossbills are a surprise up Icicle Gorge at Rock Island
campground? Lots of evening grosbeaks at that same campground as well. My
wife and son were very excited to see a nice batch of Bullock's Orioles,
also at the fish hatchery.
