Hi Tweeters,

I would like one of you photo-birders to post a well-lit pic of a Hairy Woodpecker of the subspecies P. v. orius (I hope that's right). I have never seen one depicted in any field guide. And I suspect that I never have seen one in person (if my 8/85 Cutthroat Lake bird was "septentrionalis"). Orius is the subspecies found along the east slope of the Cascades.

It would be educational for all of us!
