I enjoyed the cooler weather on the coast today with visits at Bottle Beach, Westport, and then Tokeland. Tokeland was considerably warmer than the first two stops. Bottle Beach was by far the best stop of the day with a nice assortment of shorebirds. Here's what I saw:

Bottle Beach 11:20am - 12:30pm

Black-bellied Plover 25
Semi-palmated Plover 5
Marbled Godwit 75
Whimbrel 25
Short-billed Dowitcher 220
Western Sandpiper (didn't count - noted one color banded individual)
Greater Yellowlegs 1
Bonaparte's Gull 1

In Westport, I picked up a single Ruddy Turnstone flying over the rock "groins" near the viewing tower. And then in Tokeland, I hit the marina with the tide too low, but I did find 6 Willets on the outer beach near the marina.
