Hi all,

After reading all the messages concerning insects, pestiferous or as bird food, I think I'll add what everybody already knows anyway.

When I was a lad in Wisconsin, I used to attend free movie showings at the park on summer evenings. It was absolute torture to watch Swiss Family Robinson (black & white) while being devoured by mosqitos!

And when we moved down to Florida in 1952, I was apprehensive about all those "poisonous" snakes. But it didn't take long to see that the real enemy was biting insects, mostly new species of mosqitos. I had to look really hard to find a snake.

It seems like humidity has something to do with mosquito, etc. abundance.
