Tweets,
In the mid-day sun I ventured to the Boeing Ponds, 216th St. ponds, Green River NRA, and the ponds south of 277th St. in Auburn. Not much but one LEAST SANDPIPER at the Boeing Ponds (which are now reduced to a few channels), one GREATER YELLOWLEGS and five of what I think were all LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS at the Green River NRA visible from the "grassy knoll" on the eastern margin. Otherwise, just Killdeer and a couple of Spotteds.
The dowitchers were not particularly cooperative, giving only an occasion peep type note while feeding but three at least seemed typical of breeding adult plumage. The other two were paler but might have simply been fading from high plumage.
Gene Hunn.
