Here's a twist. Yesterday on the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry run, I was
standing with a horde of other walk-on passengers as we were pulling into
Colman Dock. Two Glaucous-winged Gulls got in a tustle immediately above
our heads. One of the birds dropped what appeared to be an eel on the deck
immediately before us. Hesitantly, the worker manning the gang plank picked
up the poor creature, still wiggling, and threw it overboard. Fly birding
in reverse!
