Results of those who responded to my question concerning lodging in the Portal area of the Chiricahua Mountains, SE Arizona:

Portal Peak Lodge - 5 votes This is the only motel in Portal. $85 for two + $10 per extra. No kitchen. No minimum stay.

Cave Creek Ranch - 3 votes Highly rated. One mile west of town. Units mostly $115-160 (one at $85) for two + $15 per extra. With kitchen. 3 night minimum during high season (through August).

Southwest Research Station - 2 votes Up the road from Portal. Rooms with up to 5 beds. $75 per person includes all meals. No minimum stay.

Myrtle Kraft Cottages - 2 votes Only two 1-bedroom units that can sleep 4 each. $75 for 1, $90 for 2, $10 per extra. Has kitchen. No minimum stay.

Wilcox (early rise and drive) - 1 vote Lodging is cheaper, restaurants, groceries, and gas available.

These are the only responses that I received. There are others, including toward Rodeo, that have websites. Thanks to all who responded.
