Yesterday (7/29) I had a dark MERLIN in a residential neighborhood just
north of the Marysville Middle School. Definitely a rarity here in
mid-summer. Also, noting a few passerines moving about at our place in
north Lake Stevens: had one each of Orange-crowned and Yellow Warbler in
the last couple days, neither of which nest on the property (or anywhere
nearby that I'm aware of).
