July 29, 2006, Saturday, 9:53 p.m. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow. Today
Brad Wagner, Doug and Pip Watkins and I started out with the sea watch
at Cape Flattery. Out there we had 2 XANTUS' MURRELETS, 2 MANX
SHEARWATERS, and about 100 SOOTY SHEARWATERS, and a BLACK SCOTER. Other
highlights included 7 MARBLED GODWITS and a PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER in the
Three Crabs area around Dungeness Bay. A RED-BREASTED MERGANZER at Ediz
Hood, along with 74 HARLEQUIN DUCKS and a MARBLED GODWIT at Neah Bay,
and that's about it. Good luck and good birding.
