this month's calendar displays a photo of Falco Naumanni, shown as s/he
hovered in an open field near the tiny village of Pors-Hir, in Bretagne,
France. i was doing nothing more than wishing ANY of the birds i saw while
driving would stick around long enough for me to stop my vehicle (yes,
safely), get out the camera, and take their photo, something not a single
one had deigned to do for almost two weeks.

and then, i turn a corner on a one-lane track, and there s/he was... s/he
stuck around for almost one full minute, which gave me enough time to take
the shot you see... you can find the 2006 June calendar on my website by
choosing the "Calendar" selection, then just follow the directions for
downloading to your local machine...
