I saw in the Queen Anne News this morning that an eagle drowned just
offshore from Perkins Lane (that's the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle
and easily within the normal range of an eagle at Ballard Locks). I had
to go to work before I could finish the article but it looked like it
may have been one of these situations where two eagles get their talons
locked. There were two eagles involved but I didn't get to the part of
the article that explained the fate of the other eagle.

Hello, Tweeters,

Yesterday, Dr. Hans Nolle (I'm not sure how he spells his name) left a
message on the Washington BirdBox noting that he has been watching the
Bald Eagle nest above the Ballard Locks, and has not seen the adults for
a few days. If any of you know what is going on with this nest, he
would appreciate a call. His phone number is 206 781-8495.
