The White-headed Woodpeckers were seen in the Cascade Campground
near the intersection of Wenas Creek and Dry Creek during the Memorial
Day Weekend Campout. A total of 109 species were found during the annual
Audubon campout this year. This is the lowest number of species in
several decades which I attribute to the cold weather at higher
elevations which delayed the movement of migrants.
