Tweets,

Following up on Michael Hobbs's sighting of the male Hooded Oriole that has been hanging around Montfort Avenue and 43rd St. in Magnolia, I have made three visits for a total of 2.5 hours, morning, noon, and evening, but so far with no sight nor sound of anything oriolish. Lots of starlings, house sparrows, crows, and robins. It's a beautiful neighborhood but after walking around a bit I found not a single bird feeder, hummingbird or otherwise, so have no idea where the oriole might be hanging out when it's not where it was seen before. It would be a county bird for me, and if I'm ever to catch the legendary Dave Beaudette I couldn't afford to let this opportunity pass without the old college try. Sigh. At least it wasn't 300 miles away.
