Hi Tweets,

This is my first time submitting, but I love reading all the "news". Today while having lunch out on my folks deck at Diamond Point, I was scanning the many flocks of gulls and rhino auklets going after bait fish and there was this brown pelican, as large as life, in with one of the flocks! In all my years up there, this was a first. It was about half-way between Diamond Point and Protection Island, but toward the mouth of Discovery Bay. Lots of marbled murrelets, pigeon guillemots, a few common murres, many rhino auklets, no puffins, and over at Protection Island, 7 purple martins, back at their old nesting spot, the old pier.
