I also birded Stillwater this morning, but not as early as Gene. Saw both
the male and female WESTERN BLUEBIRDS with bugs heading toward the nest
tree, so maybe we have nestlings. At least one RED-EYED VIREO was
repetitively serenading.

At Moss Lake, two COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were calling overhead, and a couple of
BLACK SWIFTS made an appearance. I don't know how large the territory is
for a SWAINSON'S THRUSH, but it seemed that every six feet there was one
whitting or singing.
