Hi Tweets,

Ann Marie Wood and I walked the dike along Ebey Slough, from the
Fobes Road Access, this afternoon (between 3 and 6 p.m) and had very
good and prolonged observations of an Eastern Kingbird. Other birds
seen or heard were Tree, Violet-Green, Cliff, and Barn Swallow; Marsh
and Bewick's Wren; Song Sparrow; Cedar Waxwing; American Robin; Red-
winged Blackbird; Common Merganser; Ruddy Duck; Mallard (and lots of
ducklings); Gadwall; Wood Duck; Ring-necked Duck; American Coot;
Osprey; Red-tailed Hawk; Bald Eagle; Wilson's Snipe; American
Bittern; Downy Woodpecker; Western Tanager; Olive-sided Flycatcher;
Common Yellowthroat; American Goldfinch; Black-headed Grosbeak; Pied-
billed Grebe; Belted Kingfisher; and Great Blue Heron. We also
watched four river otters cavorting in the still water of the ponds.
