Given your location and the time of year, I?m guessing Western Tiger
Swallowtail which are very common ( and beautiful!). We had 1 in our
backyard this past weekend interacting with a Cabbage White. There are still
a few Spring Azures around, too.
I saw my 1st- of- the- year Pale Tiger Swallowtail this past Saturday at
Community Park near Langley, Whidbey Island.
