Subject: [Tweeters] Brown Pelican In Olympia

Today, my wife and I rented kayaks from Tugboat Annie's in Olympia and spent
a very pleasant 2 hours crossing Budd Inlet and watching some commone terns,
a pair of belted kingfishers and two great blue herons in and around the
waters by Priest Point park. On the way back, we saw a group of gulls
gathered by some pilings on the west bay side of the inlet, which we decided
to briefly investigate, and as we neared saw a brown pelican relaxing atop
one of the pilings. We were able to watch the pelican for several minutes.
What a treat so far south on the sound!
