Tweets,
In case anyone chasing the Bay-breasted Warbler from points north is
interested, the Clay-colored Sparrow west of Tenino was also singing away
this morning. Just 5 miles off I-5 at exit 88 via Old Hwy 99, left on
Melville and pull over at 0.8 mile (here you're less likely to stir up the
dogs), and watch/listen along the power lines, scotch broom, or mature firs
down the gravel lane. Both birds act like they are on territory--very vocal
and visible!
Good birding!
