I only rambled around the north end of the park, then down the hill to the
south beach, up the west beach, and back up the bluff. Not a lot of action,
although I did hear a couple of unidentifiable songs (to me, of course: I'm
sure the more experienced locals could pick them out easily), including one
that is nearly the same whistle as one uses to call a dog, sort of a
"wheedle-wheep" sound.

The flock of a dozen or so Steller's Jays is still hanging around the
lighthouse at the point. I also saw an adult bald eagle being harassed by a
juvenile eagle intent on being fed; lots of "feed me feed me feed me"
yelling.

Finally, as I stood quietly to look at a pair of cedar waxwings, a pair of
RACCOONS walked up the path toward me and got to about fifteen feet before
they suddenly realized I was a human, and they bolted off into the brush.
BIG suckers; at first I thought someone had let a couple of dogs off leash.
