This morning I found a single adult Trumpeter Swan on a pond in the Schouweiler Rd. wetland (Chehalis Wildlife Area). It appeared healthy and was swimming away due to my presence. This swan could be the same one that was seen from Wenzel Slough Rd. back in May. The wetland it was in along Wenzel Slough Rd. is very close to the wildlife area.
