Around 8:30 AM this morning in Two Rivers County Park (See DeLorme page 39, 8-C) the sound of a pair Eastern Kingbirds harassing something compelled me to look up and thus discover a juvenile Red-Shouldered Hawk swooping around just above the tree tops of a group of mature Cottonwoods in the lawn abutting the Columbia River opposite the mouth of the Snake River. After approximately 30 seconds it flew out of sight behind some trees and I never relocated it.

The last time one of these appeared in this area it was first IDed near the mouth of the Walla Walla River and then was later seen along the Yakima River near the Barker Ranch north of West Richland.
