The Idaho EASTERN PHOEBE first spotted on 28 May by Georgene and Robert Bond
in Bonner Co ID was still present through 1 Jun. It's not clear if the bird
is gone now or just that nobody has gone looking. To get there from Priest
River, take ID 57 north from US 2 for about 3.5 miles. Turn right onto
Peninsula Road and follow it about 11 miles to the bridge over the Middle
Fork of the East River. The bird loves to call from the low-hanging power
line on the west side of the bridge. ID DeLorme 62, B-1.

On 8 Jun Dennis Rockwell found a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK in Two Rivers County
Park, Benton Co WA. The bird persisted only momentarily and was not
relocated. Two Rivers County Park is east of Kennewick near the confluence
of the Snake and Columbia rivers. From WA 397 head east on Finley Road 1.5
miles to the parking area. WA DeLorme 39, C-8.

LEAST FLYCATCHERS are still popping up in several locations in both states.
WASHINGTON: On 2 Jun Gina Sheridan relocated the LEAST FLYCATCHER that Craig
Corder had found just inside the Turnbull NWR entrance in Spokane Co WA. The
bird was calling from the first large aspen grove on the right. Turnbull is
just south of Cheney, Spokane Co WA. Take the Cheney-Plaza Road south about
4 miles from Cheney to the refuge. WA DeLorme 72, A-4. That same day,
Michael Woodruff found 2 birds at the Little Spokane River Natural Area in
Spokane Co WA.

IDAHO LEAST FLYCATCHERS: The Latah Co ID bird, first spotted on 25 May by
Chris Caudill, Ashely Martens, and Will Boyd, was still being seen as of 4
Jun at Phillip's Farm County Park just north of Moscow, Latah Co ID. The
bird was in the westernmost corner in a mixed stand of aspen and ponderosa
pine. I saw the bird on the 26th. Head north from Moscow, up the grade over
Moscow Mountain, and then a left turn into the park. On 2 Jun Garrett
MacDonald found a LEAST FLYCATCHER in Farragut State Park, Kootenai Co ID
near the parking lot for the Frisbee golf course.

A BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was singing 3 Jun at the entrance to the Yakima
Training Center south of Wanapum Dam along Huntzinger Road, Kittitas Co WA
according to Scott Downes.

Scott also reports 3 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES in Bassett Park, Washtucna,
Adam Co WA on 3 Jun. Washtucna is along WA 260 just south of WA 26. You can
sniff out the park in the center of this small town. WA DeLorme 55, BC-6.

A WHITE-FACED IBIS was at the corner of Frenchman Hills Road and Dodson Road
in Grant Co WA on 3 Jun according to Scott Downes.

A LESSER GOLDFINCH was spotted in Rice WA, about 80 miles north of Spokane,
on 2 Jun by Tim Durnell.

Good birding.
