Subject: [Tweeters] new breeding bird atlas website launched
Date: Jun 9 15:09:03 2006
From: SoundtoSage - SoundtoSage at seattleaudubon.org

Sound to Sage, a breeding bird atlas for Island, King, Kitsap, and Kittitas Counties, Washington, has just gone live on the Web (version 1.0). Published by the Seattle Audubon Society, Sound to Sage builds on the earlier statewide breeding bird atlas (1987-1996) and completes it for the four subject counties. Go here to visit the site:

http://www.soundtosage.org

You will find interpretive accounts and distribution maps of the 213 species for which breeding evidence was detected, along with species lists and observer data for each of the 667 nine-square-mile atlas blocks composing the survey grid.

Comments are welcome, whether to suggest ways we might improve the usability of the website through modifications of design and function, to suggest new features, or to point out errors of fact or interpretation. A new release planned for later this year will take user feedback into account. Please have a look, and send your comments to soundtosage at seattleaudubon.org.

We hope you enjoy the site and will put it to good use.
