Ann Marie Wood shared the drive with me yesterday (June 10th) to the
Lewis County site where the Bay-breasted Warbler is located. We
arrived about 2 p.m., got out of the car and watched one Common
Nighthawk fly overhead. At 8 p.m., as we were getting ready to leave
the site, two more flew over. So for those who are county listing
and going after the warbler, look up, too.

I got a fairly good look at the Bay-breasted Warbler at about 2:15
p.m. and then it disappeared from site for the rest of the
afternoon. Several birders kept hearing it for the next several
hours but none got a look. We left Phil Kelly around 6 p.m., still
looking, and headed further in to the tree farm to explore some of
the clear cuts and stands of woods, leaving the area about 8 p.m.

There was at least one Willow Flycatcher both heard and seen at the
warbler site. We then saw two more in other areas of the tree farm.
