Tweets,

The Marymoor Park BALTIMORE ORIOLE is getting tough to pin down. Several of us arrived at the usual spot about 8 AM to learn from Charlie and Ryan that they had heard it about 7 AM but not since. We all hung around, staking out the elderberries and walking the cottonwoods trail, but to no avail. Then, at 10:45 AM just as we were about to give up he sang and continued singing for the next 15 minutes, dropping down from the cottonwood crowns for excellent views. We suspect he might have been across the slough during the intervening three and a half hours, as he flew across to the other side just as we left. Patience!

Gene Hunn.

PS: An EASTERN KINGBIRD was present feeding in the elderberries and also perching along the slough a bit downstream of the gate.
