Greetings tweets,
Driving through Enumclaw today, there were two WESTERN SCRUB-JAYs on
the northwest corner of the Hwy 164 and Hwy 169 intersection in
Enumclaw. One bird was on the ground (almost too close to focus with
binoculars) where it was intent on dismantling a large beetle.
Directions: From southbound 169 just north of the 164 intersection,
turn right into the "Buds and Blooms" corner business immediately
before crossing the intersection with Hwy 164. The birds were in two
non-native pine trees that separate the business from what looked
like apartments or condos next door (to the northwest). Time of day
was sunrise.
