Hello All,
Yesterday MerryLynn and I observed 14 American White Pelicans 2.7 miles east
of Naches on the Naches River. We saw 11 birds at one site and 3 just down
river about 3.0 miles from Naches. This was a new species for the old county
list for us. We also observed an adult female Black-tailed Deer at MP 157
along HWY 12 well in Yakima Co.. I have never seen this species of deer
seeping onto the east side of the mountains before. Yes we saw the
outstanding male Bay-breasted Warbler and also saw a Common Nighthawk along
FR 1900 in the same area. Enjoyed seeing and visiting with all the birders
that showed up. Long trip but well worth it.
Later Mike
