For those of you who are attending the 18th Annual Conference of the
Washington Ornithological Society this weekend in Republic, WA, I just
thought I should mention a couple of details.

Field trips depart at 5:00 a.m. from the Ferry County Fairgrounds Pavillion.
This is also where you will pick up box breakfasts and lunches if you
ordered those.

The Fairgrounds are located about 2 miles east of Republic on Highway 20.

Those arriving Thursday afternoon/evening can pick up their registration
packets at the Prospector's Inn. Brian Bell mentioned the hours that
packets will be available at the monthly WOS meeting, but I can't remember
what he said. I'll find out and post the hours tomorrow. The Prospector's
Inn is located on Hwy 20 in Republic (979 Clark Ave S).

Registration packets can also be picked up at the Fairgrounds early Friday
and Saturday mornings, or before dinner Friday and Saturday.

>From the Seattle area, the fastest route is probably to head to Wenatche
(via either US-2 or I-90/SR-970/US-97), then take US-97 north to Tonasket,
then SR-20 east to Republic. It's about 300 miles, and some of the roads
can be slow.

It should be a great conference, and I look forward to seeing you all out
there.
