June through September 2006, Nahkeeta Northwest is seeking volunteers to assist with a Great Blue Heron foraging study in NW Washington from Blaine to Chuckanut Bay. Schedule is flexible consisting of weekly sampling to document feeding concentrations and flight direction. Kayakers or occasional birders can also help with this survey by reporting the site and number of herons encountered as well as general activity.
