Tweets - there were less than a dozen of us today, under cloudy and
threatening skies (but the rain held off). I must say that 5:30 makes for
an early start...

The story of the day is basically one of negative reports. There were NO
signs of the Baltimore Oriole, Ash-throated Flycatcher, or Eastern Kingbird.
We neither heard nor saw any Red-eyed Vireos either, nor Mourning Doves.
There were no new rarities. Oh well. Even a "normal" day at Marymoor is
pretty good.

The GREEN HERON nest at the Rowing Club was empty today, but we saw an adult
and a juvenile on the main RC pond. Looks like they successfully fledged at
least one.

Anna's Hummingbird One for sure, but several more probably
R.-br. Sapsucker Several looks; incl. one working willows at RC
LAZULI BUNTING At least 2 males interacting near Compost Piles
Brewer's Blackbird First of 2006 - pair near velodrome
Bullock's Oriole Female feeding at least 1 young in nest at RC
House Finch Looks like lots of juveniles are about

For the day, 62 species (if I count the unidentified accipiter we caught a
couple of glimpses of).
