Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 15. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

An adult LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen June 11 and 12 at the Tualatin NWR near
Sherwood. On June 14 a BROWN THRASHER was in Klamath Falls. On June 10 a
male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was along Hwy 395 north of Burns. It could not
be relocated. On June 8 a GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was on the North Spit of Coos
Bay.

A BLACK SWIFT was at New River June 9. A family group of GREEN-WINGED TEAL
was recently found on a pond near Seaside. Two PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVERS were
at Bandon June 10.

On June 13 a CHAT was seen at Smith/Bybee Lakes in North Portland. The
Sandy River Delta east of Portland now have a pair of WESTERN KINGBIRDS, a
pair of EASTERN KINGBIRDS, several RED-EYED VIREOS, a CHAT, and a number of
LAZULI BUNTINGS. Four WESTERN KINGBIRDS and a number of LAZULI BUNTINGS are
also at Powell Butte Park in Gresham. On June 10 a LARK SPARROW was near
Sheridan. That day a MOCKINGBIRD was in Eugene. RED-EYED VIREOS were
recently reported from Jasper Park near Springfield and at Barstow State
Park southeast of Springfield.

On June 11 twelve BLACK SWIFTS were at Salt Creek Falls along Hwy 58
southeast of Eugene. That day several NORTHERN WATERTHRUSHES were at the Hwy
58 Bridge over Little Deschutes River. On June 10 a COMMON LOON was on
Agency Lake north of Klamath falls.
