Seven birders enjoyed a mild and dry day at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. Highlights included a bald eagle above and a young eagle moving around the edge of the nest in the nest tree across McAllister Creek; a cinnamon teal and several blue-winged teal; yellow warbler and caspian tern. We also heard a pileated woodpecker and several swainson's thrush. Total of species for the day: 33.
