Both birds present and vocal early Saturday morning at their previously
described locations.

Many thanks to those that have posted updates and directions.

I located the BBW in the triangle between 1901 and 1909. It took me three
minutes to detect the bird. (I parked in the large open space before the
yellow gate, and had to walk a short distance.) I had no trouble hearing
the bird. It is very vocal, and perched in the tops of 30 foot fir trees.
I had ten minutes of quality looks before it fly to another perch.

In the taller firs before the 1901/1909 intersection, I had a male Hermit
Warbler.

The CCS was calling as soon as I opened the car door. I parked at the end of
the gravel road, before the sign. The sparrow was vocal, and conspicuous as
it sang from the tops of scotch broom.

There is no need for using playback, pishing, or pygmy owl tooting to get
either of these birds into viewing range. They both seemed to be on staked
out territory, and likely to remain vocal for some time.
