Hi Tweeters!

On Friday at 8:30 AM, I was lucky to relocate the oriole twice, the first
with the help of an incessantly scolding Stellar's Jay which flushed the
bird out into an open area.

The skittish, elusive but beautiful bird perched on a bare tree on the
corner of Perkins Lane and Faye St. It also didn't help with alot of
construction going on.

It immediately flew and was not located until 9:15 AM and perched in the
exact same location.

Access to Faye St and Perkins Lane is to your left about 200 yards from
Monfort and W. Magnolia. You will see a large sign saying "Perkins Lane is
closed". Take Faye St downhill until you reach the bottom of Perkins. The
oriole was on the right hand side of Faye St in a large bare tree with no
leaves.

According to a few earlier reports, this has been a reliable location.
Interestingly, I found a big tall palm tree behind a remodeled house just
few yards from this location. I know this species has an affinity for palms
so it might explain why it likes to hang around here.

I also spoke to a very helpful and kind residence on Montfort St who has
seen the bird several times in her backyard. She also mention see the bird
a block up near a large flowering dogwood tree.
