Mild temp and north breeze, and partly sunny sky at Turning Basin #3.
The Hamm Creek Osprey nest has two heads poking (albeit shakily) up
above the nest line. I anticipated that the Oxbow Osprey eggs would have
hatched last week, but can't tell for sure (although the adult female is
"fidgeting" quite a bit).

The male Oxbow Osprey took a bath in the shallows of the restoration
peninsula, then headed back to its usual perch to preen. Another Osprey
(interloper) glided in and circled the area, and Oxbow took off after
it, but had a tougher than usual time gaining altitude. Oxbow finally
did get above the interloper, and that bird departed.

Bird of the day: Two families of Common Mergansers were in TB3, each
with five young. One set of young was much older (possibly the ones I
spotted about a month ago), and one set was very small, spotted on the
back, and catching rides with the adult.

A Glaucous-winged Gull was carrying nesting material to the top of one
of the buildings here on the Boeing campus.
