Yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 20th) I walked the full loop (Brown Farm Dike Trail) at Nisqually NWR (1-5pm). Highlight was at least 62 CASPIAN TERNS resting on a beach near the mouth of McAllister Creek. I also enjoyed a pair of PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS, one w/ nesting material, along the ditch east of the Twin Barns. There were lots of swallows -- CLIFF and BARN nesting under the Visitor Center roof, and VIOLET-GREEN and TREE near the Twin Barns. There were also a few NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED in the marsh along the west edge of the Brown Farm trail.
