I had a lovely paddle up the Sammamish slough at Marymoor Monday.
Special treats were a Green Heron (one of a pair) who was totally
cooperative as I edged nearer, taking numerous photos. Also a Marsh
Wren who similarly allowed multiple shots from closeby. Okay, they're
not rare birds, but it was such a peaceful and rewarding experience
just to float there on the water and snap shots:
