Tweets,
On Wednesday morning at 8:45 A.M, I also had the Hooded Oriole in the
location that Jamie described for today. I actually got some nice looks for
more than a minute in some pine trees about 100 yds down Magnolia Blvd. W.
(Private Road). This was after about an hour and half of waiting patiently
down by the dead tree. I decided to explore. It was a good thing I did.
Anyway, sorry for the delay in posting, but perhaps this may be the next
"best spot" to check for the oriole.
Incidentally, my mode of transportation to the oriole spot was a little
unusual. A friend of mine here on Bainbridge Island commutes by boat each
day to the Metro Sewage Treatment Plant at West Point. I loaded my bike
on-board and hitched a ride over. I rode my bike from Discovery Park to the
"oriole spot" on Magnolia Bluff. After success at seeing the oriole I rode
down and caught the ferry back to Bainbridge Island. I am not sure I would
want to make eleven more attempts. Thank goodness I lucked out on my first!
