Tweets,

Saw the Hooded Oriole at 9:39 this morning at the place last described.
Kraig Kemper was kind enough to show me where he'd seen it for a few
seconds. Within 5 minutes it darted overhead for a 2 to 3 second look.
Short, but enough time to see a yellow/orange "beacon" (K.Kemper), the
throat, wingbars, belly and the diagnostic jet black under tail against
the bright orange undertail coverts. No binoculars needed.

This bird seems to be a ticker: Good for state or county listing, but I
wouldn't have felt very satisfied if it was my lifer. It's just not
into being examined. I hope the neighborhood doesn't get tired of us.
Good luck.
