This week's Birds in the News is now available. This
week features an absolutely lovely photo of a group of
flamingos by the talented Michael C. Hamilton, and
includes the first strong evidence that avian species'
range areas are smallest in the tropics and larger in
temperate and polar regions, and the implications of
this (the original research paper is publically
available). It also includes a section devoted to wind
farming and its effects on birds -- I'd really like to
read your opinions about this issue, and whether you
see other alternative sources of power as being
feasible.
