Hello again all,

As I had mentioned in my first email, I was lucky enough to glance up and
get a quick photo of a bird that I later had confirmed by many members that
it was indeed a Turkey Vulture.

Here's a link to the shots that I was able to get considering how high up it
was. Since I was by the Fremont bridge at the time, it was heading over
Queen Anne Hill and in a westerly direction.

unusual?")

Josh and all,

In the middle of the breeding season I would consider a Turkey Vulture
sighting in Seattle proper noteworthy. I have only seen them in the city
during migration (in the fall I've seen flocks of 40 to 50 birds migrating
through.) I don't know when the juveniles fledge, but I could imagine we
might see wandering fledgelings before migration "officially" starts.
Anyone else seen TV's within the city of Seattle in the middle of breeding
season?
