We ran up to Snoqualmie Falls yesterday about 6:00 PM.
Two of the Peregrine Falcon Fledglings were sitting on the sign below the lower observation area.
One of the adults flew to a big rock at the top of the Falls. Then flew over to the ledge off the left of the main observation deck. Stayed there for about 30 minuets.
The two fledges flew over to the right side of the top of the Falls. They were near the water on some big rocks.
Staying on that side they flew a little further back to the left of the water. One of them got what appeared to be a mouse. The other fledge tried to get some of this meal. No way.
Guess if you are a hungry young Falcon a mouse may taste like bird.
The two young Falcons then flew onto the roof of the Lodge. They were up there about 40 minutes. Swallows dived at them the entire time.
They seem to be hanging out on the Lodge roof for a time each evening. You can get a good look at them when they are up on the roof.
They flew off about 9:00 PM and we left.
It is amazing all the people that are interested in them. We continue with Dave and Scott to have people line up to look through the scopes.
It is worth running up to try to get a look.
