Greetings all! I just moved here from Massachusetts, and live in the
Snoqualmie River Valley. I've had all spring a pair of pileated woodpeckers,
and yesterday Mrs. Pileated came to the suet feeder with Junior. Junior
stayed on the tree; mom hopped over and fed him suet from time to time.
Junior was sporting a quite spectacular fuzzy orange punk haircut. I've
never seen a baby pileated.

Makes me glad we are restoring our three acres to wildlife habitat....
