Very light north breeze, mostly sunny, and getting quite warm at Turning
Basin #3. Had a visual on one young Osprey at the Oxbow nest today.
There may be another, but I can't confirm that. The male brought in a
fish and fed the female piece-by-piece for at least 15 minutes. She, in
turn, appeared to be feeding a nestling at times. Eventually, the male
left to land on a piling at the restoration peninsula, where he
continued to feed on a the remaining bit of the meal.

The Hamm Creek pair weren't as "cozy" with the male keeping to his perch
on the west-bank power tower, and the female at the nest. I spotted one
nestling (quite a bit larger than the Oxbow nestling), and the adult was
holding her wings out for quite some time. Could be she was providing
shade for the young birds.

Bird of the Day: Black-capped Chickadee - at least four of them were
working the blackberry bushes along the bank. Could well have been more
birds - looked like a family outing; the highest count of chickadees
this year.

Note: Earlier this morning I spotted three Caspian Terns flying
relatively high over TB3 and then over toward Boeing Field. One of the
birds called incessantly - could be a fledgling.
