I noticed some mention of the number of Snipe seen at one location. I am a
volunteer at the Ridgefield National Wildlike Refuge and I am there three or
four times a week. During the last month and and beyond that we have seen
at least three dozen Snipe in one location just about every day, in fact,
since we realized this was a little unusual, I determined to count them one
day. I got to 50 and I knew there were still more. So even though they are
many times solitary, they do congregate in large groups. You can see
