Today I went for a walk at Lion's Field in Bremerton, it was too nice not to
be outside!

There's a patch of blackberries at the back of a house that abuts the boat
ramp parking lot, it's great for sparrows. (The house itself is on Lebo
Blvd.) I was admiring a singing Song Sparrow and watching the activity at
the plastic-bottle-style bird feeder when a WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW began to
sing! This is about three weeks earlier than I've ever heard 'em, usually
they start singing the end of March/early April, according to my memory,
anyway.

There was a WESTERN SCRUB-JAY perched in a bare tree a couple of houses down
from the sparrow patch.
